The PDP Concept Maple Bop Shell Set in Satin Olive is a compact three-piece drum set complete with Remo heads. The shells are made from 100% maple, delivering a warm, resonant tone suitable for a wide range of modern musical styles. High quality shell hardware including True Pitch tension screws, Dual Turret tensioning brackets, and triple flanged steel hoops enhances durability and tuning stability. The Suspension Tom Mount (STM) and cast bass drum tension claws are engineered to meet professional performance demands. Equipped with Remo heads and a state of the art FinishPly outer layer in a matte finish, the PDP Concept Maple Series combines excellent pro features with a stylish look. A tom holder is included, and a matching snare drum is available separately as an option.
The name Concept Maple says it all: every shell is constructed entirely from maple and features seven plies of wood. This is complemented by another design principle borrowed from DW, Graduated Counter Hoops, where the hoop diameter is scaled to the shell size. Smaller toms receive appropriately lighter hoops to allow open resonance, while larger shells get stronger hoops to help focus the sound. Another DW inspired feature is FinishPly. The exterior wrap is integrated into the shell’s acoustic construction, with the ply laminated just like the other wood layers.
