In the construction of the S2 Standard 24 Satin, Paul Reed Smith pays special attention to high resonance and optimal playing characteristics. The extremely thin and hard satin nitro finish allows the guitar, which is classically built with a mahogany body and glued mahogany neck, to vibrate freely and create the basis for a powerful sound with sensitive dynamics. The slim "Pattern Thin" neck profile also promises a buttery-smooth playability of all positions of the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Split 58/15 "S" humbuckers promise a particularly versatile sound spectrum for almost any style of music.
58/15 "S" Humbucker
As pickup for the S2 Standard 24 Satin PRS chooses two 58/15 "S" humbuckers. The pickups, wound according to the traditional specifications of the Fifties, deliver a rich, particularly warm sound with almost unlimited sustain at the guitar amplifier, which is ideally suited for sparkling cleans and creamy Overdrive with round basses, vocal midrange and well-dosed brilliance. The possibility of splitting the humbuckers via push/pull switch in the tone control also enriches the sound image and glassy single coil sounds. Pickups of the S2 Standard 24 Satin are managed classically by means of a 3-way switch and general volume and tone controls.
Lightweight Low Mass Locking tuners guarantee accurate and stable tuning of the S2 Standard 24 Satin.

Last but not least, PRS completes the S2 Standard 24 Satin Vintage Cherry guitar with self-developed hardware that more than meets the demands of professional musicians with unlimited reliability. With smooth handling, the PRS Designed tremolo on the body supports the implementation of modern lead techniques. Six individually adjustable tailpieces also guarantee precise adjustment of intonation and string action. At the headstock, the strings are fed with a straight pull to the lightweight PRS Low Mass Locking tun ers, which promise precise tuning with unshakable stability even after frequent reaches for the tremolo lever.
