The PRS SE Custom 22 2017 stands for clear Vintage sounds with open and accentuated mid-range. Two PRS 85/15 Humbucker provide on the 22-flush Custom for a flexibly applicable sound image and the ideal mix of handling and response thanks to the balanced scale of 25 inches. The PRS SE Custom 22 also offers a harmonious visual appearance with a strongly flamed, two-part curly maple top, harmonious faux binding and matching lacquered headstock with Paul's signature.
With the thin Wide Thin neck profile offers a tailor-made shaping PRS especially for lead guitarists and players of quicker runs. The thinnest neck from the company does not PRS deny the traditional Paul Reed Smith profile, but offers enough thumb room for loose movements on the 22-flush rosewood fingerboard. Compared to its sister Custom 24 model, the 22 dispenses with the circumference of two full octaves and instead uses the harmonic 'sweet Spot ' for positioning the neck humbucker.
Designed 85/15 Humbucker just in time for the company's 30th anniversary, these models reflect the character of the early Paul Reed Smith models with a focus on special Wirings such as Coil Split or parallel circuits. The Custom 22 two 1985 Standard Treble and Bass Humbucker are used in neck and bridge position and produce a balanced setup from the brute humbucker sound to the warm singing Woman Tone à la Cream .
