The Josh Homme Decade Too Preamp pedal at a glance:
The Peavey Decade Too Preamp pedal brings the legendary sound of the original Decade amp from the early 1980s into a compact, pedalboard-friendly form! In particular, the striking, rich Overdrive - made famous by artists such as Josh Homme (Queens or the Stone Age) - has been authentically recreated and is transferred to modern setups with plenty of dynamics. The heart of the pedal is the faithful reproduction of the 1980s circuit with two gain stages: a second channel can be activated via the switchable saturation mode, which delivers aggressive, organic distortion with a fuzz-like tone. Thanks to pre- and post-gain controls, the drive behavior can be finely adjusted, while the 3-band EQ with controls for low, mid and high ensures precise sound shaping. Silent switching, a buffered output (incl. line level function) and the internal voltage boost to 24 volts offer maximum headroom and flexibility for everything that needs to sound heavy!
