Tube-amplified ribbon microphone from Peluso including flight case, power supply, casket and microphone spider
As a ribbon microphone in a classic design with long aluminium strips between two neodymium magnets, the Peluso TR14 is characterised by its clean and sensitive recording behaviour with a subtle attenuation of bass frequencies, which counteracts the so-called proximity effect.
A transformer precisely matched to this microphone capsule ensures balanced and clean signals without distortion and colouration. To boost weak signals or overcome long cable runs, the TR14 has been equipped with a classic tube amplifier that not only ensures natural and warm amplification but also adds a subtle, pleasant vintage-style grain.
The sound character of the TR14 is characterised by warm and silky smooth recordings and is still rich in bass despite the subtle low-end roll-off. Its clean and natural recording behaviour responds particularly well to Equalizer and, together with the tube amplification, results in a clean signal with additional background sound facets reminiscent of the microphones of the seventies. High-quality stainless steel materials for the housing, the finest neodymium magnets and wafer-thin aluminium ribbons for the precise microphone capsule, a high-quality CK5784 glass tube and hardly any plastic parts make the TR14 a faithful and powerful companion in every conceivable instrumental or vocal application. The microphone is supplied in an elegant wooden case together with a stainless steel microphone spider. Also included is a power supply unit with a 7-pin connection cable to power the tube amplification and a robust flight case for safe transportation of the microphone and accessories. With the TR14, you get a high-precision professional microphone with a classic sound profile, including basic equipment and storage.
