The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-400 is a 2-channel DJ controller for beginner DJs, which can be used perfectly with the professional performance app rekordbox dj (free license included) and all the features of the currently released rekordboxTM version 5.3 to exhaust. The DJ controller supports the new tutorial function in rekordbox dj, which explains the introduction step by step using basic equipment. The DDJ-400 is lightweight and easy to transport, and has many design elements from the Pioneer DJ´s professional series. The layout of the dedicated play/pause and cue buttons is taken from the NXS2 setup, as are the beat FX, CDJ-style looping controllers and more.
The license key of the software is closely connected to the hardware and can only be registered once! Since the software can therefore not be transferred to a new buyer, we can unfortunately not grant the otherwise usual 30-day right of return after registration of rekordbox DJ. Since your satisfaction is very important to us, we have a solution for you: Please use the fully functional 30-day trial version of rekordbox DJ, which you can download and install from the Pioneer DJ website. So you keep the 30-day right of return when you buy.
With the help of the tutorial feature of rekordbox dj you learn how to use the equipment best and how to use DJ techniques correctly. Just follow the instructions of the tutorial on the monitor of your PC/Mac. The tutorial function is also compatible with the Pioneer DJ - DDJ-RB.
The surface of the player and mixer section of the Pioneer DJ - DDJ-400 feels instantly familiar because the controls and buttons are arranged according to the club standards CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM-900NXS2. The jog wheels, cue buttons, tempo slider, loop section and cue/loop call buttons are similar to the design of the CDJ-2000NXS2. With the trim and EQ controls and headphone cue buttons, you can perform just as you would on the DJM-900NXS2.
The DDJ-400's Beat Fx feature simplifies the use of effects by keeping them in time on the currently playing song.
The Pioneer DJ - DDJ-400 comes with rekordbox dj, so you can start DJing immediately after activating the license key and connecting the controller.
The DDJ-400 offers the option to listen to your mix through external desktop speakers, through your computer's built-in speakers, or through Bluetooth speakers. The dedicated Phones output allows you to monitor your headphones independently of the master output.
Thanks to the Plug & Play feature and the integrated sound card, you can connect the controller to your computer using the supplied USB cable and start it right away.
