The PreSonus StudioLive SE 16 combines the power of a large format digital mixer in a compact, rack-mountable design. With its 40 channels, 17 motorized faders and comprehensive routing options, this mixer is the ideal solution for live events, studio productions and fixed setups. Thanks to the Milan-certified AVB audio network, the mixer can be seamlessly connected to PreSonus NSB stageboxes, EarMix 16M personal monitor mixers and other StudioLive Series III devices. For Dante compatibility, the AVB-D16 Bridge is available as an option.

Comprehensive range of connections

The StudioLive SE 16 is equipped with sixteen high-quality XMAX-R mic/line combo preamps, each individually switchable with 48 V phantom power. The input section is complemented by eight line inputs (6.35 mm TRS), stereo tape inputs and outputs (RCA), and an AES/EBU digital output (XLR) for professional digital routing. Separate monitor outputs (stereo, 6.35 mm TRS) and a powerful headphone output with its own level control (100 mW per channel at 60 Ω) provide additional flexibility. Locking XLR Ethernet ports ensure secure and stable network connections.

Top-class audio processing

At the heart of the mixer lies a quad-core FLEX DSP engine with 32-bit floating-point processing, delivering outstanding audio quality and ultra-low latency of just 1.9 ms. With crosstalk at –90 dB, the SE 16 guarantees clean and precise signal separation. Every channel and bus can be shaped with vintage-style EQ and compressor models that capture the signature PreSonus sound.

Maximum control with flexible bus architecture

The mixer provides sixteen FlexMixes that can be freely configured as aux, subgroup or matrix, along with four dedicated subgroups and four FX mixes with stereo returns and dedicated processors. Twenty-four DCA groups simplify the handling of complex setups. These features make it easy to design advanced mixing solutions, from front and side fills in large venues to detailed monitor mixes for performing musicians.

Integrated multitrack recording and comprehensive software

A 64×64 USB 2.0 audio interface and an onboard 34×34 multitrack SD recorder equip the StudioLive SE 16 for any recording situation, whether in the studio or on stage. The included software suite features PreSonus Capture™ with Virtual Soundcheck, the DAW Studio One Pro™, and Universal Control for both local and remote operation. With PreSonus Metro, the mixer can even be controlled worldwide over the Internet while monitoring audio in real time.

Flexibly expandable and future-proof

Thanks to its AVB network architecture, the SE 16 can be expanded from sixteen up to thirty-six inputs. Optional integration of the AVB-D16 Bridge allows up to sixteen channels to be added to Dante networks. This ensures that the mixer is ready not only for today’s needs but also for future professional audio setups.
