Waveform clipper/deformer for hard waveforms

CLI from Rides in the Storm offers various clipping modes and generates new sounds for sine and triangle waves, drums, chords and smoothed sawtooth waves. Furthermore, the module compresses audio and CV signals. The module sees itself more as a creative distortion module for signal modification than as an ordinary distortion module. It starts with the gain control and a rectifier; the latter flips the negative part of a waveform into the positive range. The five modes - asymmetrical soft clip, symmetrical soft clip, triode clip, asymmetrical hard clip and symmetrical hard clip - are used to get to grips with the signal. The results depend primarily on the input signal and provide a wide range of signal deformation. The mix control fades between the original signal and the clipped signal.
