Output 1 level control for adjusting the volume of amp 1 directly from the control room
On/Off switch for Output 1 to mute the signal
Ground lift switch for Output 1 to avoid ground loops
Output 2 level control for volume adjustment for amp 2
On/Off switch for Output 2 to mute the signal
180° phase switch for Output 2 for phase rotation or creative use of effects
Ground lift switch for Output 2 also for hum suppression
Two 6.35 mm jack outputs (OUT-1 and OUT-2) for simultaneous control of two amplifiers
both outputs are transformer-isolated and Class-A buffered for long cable runs
Omniport input (only with Workhorse) can be used as a Hi-Z guitar input
Omniport can also be used as an ABY circuit for simultaneous playing via two amps
Power supply via 500-series rack, current consumption: 40 mA at ±16 VDC
Reamping without compromise
The Radial X-Amp 500 is a high-quality reamping module in 500 format. Reamping allows a performance to be recorded neutrally and the sound to be shaped in the mixing process. The X-Amp 500 offers two separately controllable outputs that can be used to control two amps simultaneously. Thanks to its transformer-isolated, Class-A buffered outputs, hum loops and signal loss are reliably prevented, even with long cable runs. Ground lift switches make it easy to eliminate potential ground problems.
Precise control in the studio
The output levels for both amps can be set independently of each other and muted if required - ideal for sound comparisons or the targeted use of individual amplifiers in the mix. The second output also has a 180° phase switch to correct any phase cancellations between two amps or to generate creative sound variations.
Technically mature for studio use
With a linear frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz (adapted for guitar signals) and low overall distortion (THD+N ' 0.002 %), the X-Amp 500 meets even the highest sonic demands. It fits into any standard 500 enclosure and draws its power directly from the rack - without the need for additional space or external power supplies.
Integration with Radial Workhorse
In combination with the Radial Workhorse or the Workhorse Cube, the X-Amp 500 becomes even more versatile: themodule can also be used as a direct guitar input via the Omniport at the rear - ideal for recording and simultaneously distributing the signal to two amps. In this way, the X-Amp functions like a compact ABY box with professional signal processing.
