I am pleased to find this excellent mastering tape on DV247. In the past there have been some major problems with tape formulations. Ampex 456 and Scotch 226 both suffered from moisture absorbtion due to the polymer used, leading to "sticky tape syndrome". This made the tapes unplayable without first having been baked at a controlled temperature to remove the moisture. THe SM468, which I purchased, is from the original formulation of Agfa Gevert PM468, a tape formulation that was more costly than Ampex or Scotch but had none of the moisture absorbtion problems. This means that the archiving quality of this formulation is excellent. Very low print through and proven achival qualities of over 40 years in the field.
