Rode SM3-R is an elastic microphone suspension for mounting pistol grip microphones on the camera flash shoe. The dual Rycote Lyre vibration mount ensures effective isolation of shotgun microphones from interfering structure-borne noise, suitable for the Rode microphones M5, NT5, NT55, NTG1, NTG2,NTG3, NTG4 and NTG4+ or equivalent models.

I use it to replace the Sony PXW camera mic holder. I can now use a pro shotgun mic (mostly the Rode NTG4) without issues. Vibration insulation is excellent, and the grip too. Absolutely recommended
