The Roland DJ-505 is a 2-channel Serato DJ controller with four decks and a wide range of professional features, including the Serato toolkit. Thanks to its robust design and versatile feature set, it is perfectly suited for mobile DJs, club performances, live shows, and studio productions. The integrated 24-bit/48-kHz audio interface and high-quality Roland D/A converters ensure clear and powerful sound. Symmetrical XLR outputs enable seamless connection to professional PA systems. Additionally, a 6.3 mm TS microphone input allows vocals or external instruments to be integrated into the performance setup. The DJ-505 features dedicated controls for Serato DJ Pro, enabling quick setting and triggering of hot cues, loops, samples, sequencer patterns, and TR sounds. Switching between the four Serato decks is easily done using the Deck Select button. For creative performances, the DJ-505 provides channel filters and Serato effects, which can be activated effortlessly via three FX buttons per deck. This allows for the refinement of transitions and precise accentuation of scratches. Combining professional technology with intuitive operation and versatile functionality, the DJ-505 is a powerful tool for modern DJs.

I was excited for my order to arrive, which came in 6days from ordering. When I opened it up I wasn’t at all disappointed. It’s a great looking unit with loads of functionality and the added Trs beat pad is really cool, needless to say I was straight into mixing, after a short download of the software to my Mac. The large low latency pads are awesome for scratching and have a great feel to them. All in all it’s a really cool piece of kit and really easy to navigate.
The only downside to this unit is it feels a bit plastic and some of the knobs feel a little fragile at times.

I'm very pleased to have the Roland DJ 505. Very good piece of software and the controller is easy to use. The drum machine is the real added value. If you want to combine production and mixing, this product is for you.
