Gentle signal handling in reference quality
But the 5057 not only convinces with its tasteful fatness and the typical overtone spectra, but also with the signal fidelity behaviour demanded by modern productions: The frequency response deviates only max. 0.1dB from the reference line in the audible range, the operating voltage is increased compared to conventional devices, so that a significantly better signal-to-noise ratio is achieved, and the channel separation is optimized to such an extent that the stereo image is not destroyed. This makes the 5057 an asset to any DAW-based mixing system and enhances your mixdown, no matter what genre you're working in.
High-end summing amplifier for that certain something at mixdown
The Rupert Neve Desigsn 5057 Orbit is the consequent further development of the analogue in-line mixer and combines, in a well dosable way, the sound of past eras with the signal quality of modern high-end technology. The Texture circuit with 2 timbres, already known from other RND devices, is also present in the 5057, just like the output transformersfrom the Shelford Channel, which was highly praised by the press. Both elements together, together with the working level and the trim control, allow a very fine adjustment of the saturation behaviour of Class A amplifiers and transformers. To prevent the downstream transducer from being overdriven, the 5057 has a level-reduced aux output that hangs from another transformer tap.
