The XREF 20 measurement microphone by Sonarworks comes in this package with the Reference 3 Trial software an version of the Reference 3 speaker calibration software which is limited to 21 days. The XREF 20 is moreover a condenser microphone so it requires phantompower and it has a XLR port. Its frequency range goes from 20 to 20.000Hz. This Sonarworks package was developed for calibrating studio speaker so they sound better in your individual room.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this microphone. It comes at a great price and in combination with the sonarworks app (which you have to buy separately) will change everything you knew so far about your mixing space. It improves instantly the way you hear the sound coming out of your speakers and will bring your mixes in a totally other level.
I sincerely think that every bedroom producer or small studio who can't afford professional acoustic treatment for their space should invest in this microphone.
There are a few options of mics at this price point, but the thing that makes this better is the response download of the exact mic, not a general 1.

After getting a copy of Sonarworks Reference but having no mic, I purchased this mic. Set up was very easy, packaging was okay, a bit much for the size of the microphone and could be but back. But overall an amazing mic, helped take my home studio to the next level !
