Flexible frequency separation with precise control

The crossover is divided into two main sections: a LOW-PASS section for woofers or subwoofers and a HIGH-PASS section for top or main speakers. The crossover frequencies can be flexibly adjusted between 20 Hz and 3.6 kHz. A special X-FREQ switch allows the selection of three frequency ranges, enabling a total of 18 precise crossover frequencies to be configured. In addition, a ROLL-OFF switch allows the slope to be switched between 12 dB and 24 dB. An integrated low-cut filter reduces unwanted low bass components below 20 Hz , thereby reducing the load on the power amplifiers and speakers.

Variable phase control for synchronized sound

The phase control ensures precise timing between the subwoofer and main speakers. A variable control range of 360 degrees ensures that the audio signals arrive at the listening position at the same time. The PHASE switch allows the phase to be set between 0° and ±180°, while the function can be completely deactivated if required without affecting the signal path.

Inputs and outputs with adjustable bass control

The Crossover Mk2 offers both XLR and RCA connections for flexible set-up. The inputs are switchable and the outputs are always connected to both types of connection simultaneously. In addition, you can choose between mono and stereo mode, depending on whether one or two subwoofers are used. The volume of the bass section can be adjusted continuously from -10 dB to +10 dB - ideal both for precise tuning and for enhancing the sound of low bass recordings.

Central control via AMP CTL interface

Another highlight is the controllability via AMP CTL. This allows up to four external devices to be switched on and off together with the Crossover Mk2. Standby mode can also be activated externally, for example by an SPL preamplifier such as the Director Mk2, Elector or Phonitor x.

120V interior for maximum sound quality

The VOLTAiR technology ensures an internal operating voltage of ±60 volts. This quadruple voltage compared to conventional circuits allows for exceptional dynamics, extremely low distortion values and a high degree of sonic quietness and naturalness. All components operate in the optimum range, resulting in a superior, open sound without compression or distortion.
