The SPL Hermes is a routing center with SPL's proven 120V technology. The device allows the storage and processing of audio signals from up to eight 2-channel processors in a flexible sequence. Furthermore, these processing chains can be named and it is possible to compare four of them with each other. The Hermes also offers two freely assignable parallel mix stages, each of which can be assigned to one of the eight processors and saved with one of the processing chains. This makes it possible to use the SPL Hermes to compare two devices with different parallel mix settings. The routing works completely passively, to be precise with gas-encapsulated and gold-vaporized high-end relays and the corresponding buttons on the front of the device. The interfaces for audio transmission are located at the rear: Inputs and outputs in the form of three-pin XLR sockets as well as DB25 and three-pin XLR sockets for sends and returns.
