SSL offers the Solid State Logic XL, a traditional analog mixing desk that is packed with an incredible number of features. Designed for recording and mixing in DAW-based studios, the desk allows the use of 16 mono dual inputs, switchable between main input or DAW return, and 4 stereo channels. The first eight channels have special VHD (Variable Harmonic Drive) preamps, which provide a special sound. In addition, there are 4 stereo mix busses with dedicated inserts, a stereo and 2 mono aux sends with 2 dedicated stereo return inputs. Direct outs in each channel. Stereo return and mix bus allow convenient recording of pre-mixes.

A special feature is the generous space (18 slots) for 500 rack modules. No matter if mic preamps or modules like compressors or EQs: Flexibility is always provided here and thanks to the heavily oversized power supply, power hogs can also find their place there without burdening the system.
But that's not all: The SSL Solid State Logic XL comes with a complete monitoring section including bass management, foldback A and B with individual talkbacks for headphone mixes, a built-in listen mic input plus classic compressor including direct out.
