Sabian FRX Crash 16"

The Sabian FRX Crash 16" is a frequency optimized crash cymbal made of B20 bronze, with a dark basic tone and approx. 25% less volume at full sound. The hand-hammered FRX cymbals are perfect for environments that require less volume and where conventional drum cymbals are simply too powerful. Certain holes in the cymbal cut and compress certain frequencies, resulting in lower volume. No matter how hard the drummer plays on the Sabian FRX Cymbals, the frequencies always fit perfectly in the mix. The volume peak when the cymbal is struck is much lower than with normal cymbals, but the sound remains fully balanced as cutting and high-frequency tones are simply lowered.
