The Sandberg California BassTheWorld Signature Bass MN Tobacco Sunburst Hardcore Aged Reserve is based on the California TT4 Masterpiece bass that viewers know from countless videos and basslines on Gregor Fris' popular BassTheWorld YouTube channel. While the lovingly handcrafted Relic finish conveys the scars and traces of an instrument that has been played every day for several decades, the swamp ash body and the slim maple neck in C-profile offer the usual Sandberg playing comfort. On the bass amp, the BassTheWorld Signature Bass with two Kloppmann single coils and a tradition-conscious passive electric provides top-class Bass sounds with all-round character for almost every genre and every playing technique. In addition to the tried and tested Sandberg Machine Heads, a Gotoh 203B-4 brass bridge completes the hardware equipment of the California BassTheWorld Signature bass at the request of Gregor Fris.

The Sandberg California BassTheWorld Signature Bass MN Tobacco Sunburst Hardcore Aged Reserve was developed with Gregor Fris from the YouTube channel BassTheWorld and convinces with first-class playing and sound characteristics.

Classically built California bass

The construction of the California BassTheWorld Signature Bass Sandberg naturally follows the specifications of the passive California TT4 Masterpiece bass guitar, which the BassTheWorld founder has been playing since 2011. Accordingly, the comfortably designed body is made of light swamp ash, which is subjected to the Sandberg Thermo Treatment as part of the Hardcore Aged Reserve Finish to increase the instrument's resonance. The flat C-profile of the six-piece bolt-on maple neck also promises excellent playing characteristics right up to the highest positions of the 22-fret maple fingerboard.

Kloppmann pickups

Gregor Fris chose two single coils from the German pickup manufacturer Kloppmann as the pickup for his BassTheWorld Signature California. The perfectly matched Set consisting of a Kloppmann JB61 single coil in the middle position and a Kloppmann Special Bridge single coil elicits top-class Bass sounds from the bass amplifier, the enormous bandwidth of which ranges from a pressing low-end push to the wiry assertiveness of emphasised mids, making the four-string an all-rounder for almost every genre. A traditional passive circuit with individual volume pots for each pickup and a general treble control also allows precise adjustment of the sound character.

High-quality hardware equipment

It goes without saying that Sandberg completes the California BassTheWorld Signature Bass MN Tobacco Sunburst Hardcore Aged Reserve with indestructible hardware that also performs on professional tours and in the studio with unwavering reliability. At Gregor Fris' request, a Gotoh 203B-4 Hardtail is used as the bridge. With a base plate and brass string saddles, the Bass bridge supports the sustain-rich and lively sound character, while the usual adjustment options guarantee precise intonation and comfortable string action. Behind the zero fret and nut, Sandberg Machine Heads keep the bass guitar securely and precisely in tune.
