Classic woods in the form of an alder body and maple neck as well as Sandberg Black Label pickups promise a powerful sound that downright invites you to forge fat rock and metal grooves.
Hidden beneath the satin Copper finish of the California Nighthawk Plus is a classic alder body connected to the maple neck and ebony fretboard by six screws. This combination promises a fat primary sound with crisp attack and even sustain, providing the perfect foundation for cleanly articulated riffs. When playing this electric bass, these riffs come off the fingers easily on the comfortable "C" profile of the neck.
The California Nighthawk Plus TM4 Dark Grey Satin Bass is powered by Sandberg Black Label Series pickups, a single-coil in the middle position and a humbucker on the bridge. With them, this 4-string electric bass delivers versatile rock sounds ranging from gnarled, aggressive mid-growl with the high assertiveness of the humbucker to the deep, yet transparent bass foundation of the single coil. The humbucker can also be split via the split switch for authentic single-coil sounds, whereas the musically tuned 2-band EQ allows precise adjustments of the tone.
High-quality hardware in matte black rounds off the Sandberg California Nighthawk Plus TM4 Copper Satin. The large aluminium pickguard with its brushed Hairline surface blends perfectly into the overall picture and also serves as a carrier for the middle pickup and all electronics. Furthermore the Sandberg Bridge 4 contributes to the distinctive sound of the bass through its solid construction, whereas Sandberg tuners keep the tuning precise even when playing vigorously.
