This 5-string bass from the Brunswick-based manufacturer follows the exact specifications Ida trusts in her signature model: a solid alder body, a six-piece bolt-on neck, a powerful and versatile pickup configuration, and, naturally, top-quality in-house hardware paired with a distinctive design. What sets this limited edition apart is its striking Strawberry Milkshake high-gloss finish, which makes each of the 72 pieces worldwide a true collector’s item. Fans and players alike should act fast!

The instrument’s body combines alder and maple, a classic tonewood pairing, while its shaping and overall dimensions deliver the unmistakable Sandberg feel from the very first note. The neck features a slim C-profile on the back, complemented by a 14-inch radius on the front for excellent playability across all 22 frets. Elegant block inlays made of Perloid are set into the fretboard to provide clear visual markers.

Sandberg Blacklabel Pickups

Beneath the white pickup covers lie two in-house Sandberg Blacklabel pickups. In the middle position, a J-style single coil delivers clear and defined tones, while the M-style humbucker in the bridge position adds extra power. The bass also features active electronics with a two-band equalizer, allowing for extensive tonal shaping. The Sandberg California TM5 Ida Nielsen LTD Soft Aged Strawberry Milkshake is finished off with a solid Sandberg bridge and Sandberg machine heads equipped with D-tuners on the E-string, enabling quick switches between standard tuning and drop-D tuning in seconds.

Including hoodie and CD

The Sandberg California TM5 Ida Nielsen LTD Soft Aged Strawberry Milkshake offers some special surprises for fans and collectors. Along with a matching gigbag, the bass comes with an Ida Nielsen hoodie in the same color and a CD of her latest album, More Sauce, Please! Both the CD and the back of the headstock are personally hand-signed by Ida Nielsen.
