The SandbergClassicBooster 4 Greenline Black from the German instrument forge presents itself with its first-class selection of tonewoods and robust Sandberg hardware equipment, particularly resilient. Two in-house Soapbar pickups in the middle position are responsible for the sound configuration, which can be individualized by an active 3-band tone control and thus provide tonal flexibility. A high-quality processed neck made of maple and mahogany convinces especially by the overlying ebony fingerboard in 14" radius and Sandberg typical features. In addition, for each Greenline instrument,a tree is planted in the Harz Mountains in cooperation with United Kids Foundations to preserve the natural forest resources of the region.
The electric basses of the Greenline series are given an individual touch by expressive wood grains.
The six-way bolting of the ash corpus to the 5-strip neck provides additional stability.
Structure and tonewoods
The body of the SandbergClassicBooster 4 Greenline Black is made of a beautiful piece of ash, which gives the E-Bass its own character due to the grain in the matte black Finish. In addition, the 5-strip neck made of maple and mahogany with stable 6-way bolting delivers rich sustain. The 22-fret fretboard made of a dark piece of ebony provides besides the classic 'C' neck profile for pleasant playing characteristics.
With encapsulated Sandberg Machineheads on the headstock, the electric bass remains as tuning stable as possible.
Hardware equipment
Of course, the ClassicBooster 4 is also equipped with durable Sandberghardware in black Finish. Thus, single-string saddles of the Sandbergsingle bridge keep all four strings in a stable pitch, while the Sandbergdie-cast tuners on the colour-matched headstock create easy tuning conditions. Thanks to the zero fret and plastic saddle with a width of 39.5, the strings sound with accurate intonation even when played open.
