The Sandberg Forty Eight Victor Brandt Black Hardcore Aged Reserve is the Braunschweig-based company's signature electric bass tailored to the hardest sounds of the Norwegian Black Metal band Dimmu Borgir. In addition to the resonant thermo-treated alder body, Sandberg uses a six-bolt-on maple neck for the construction of the Forty Eight Victor Brandt, whose ebony fretborad emphasizes the dark look of the four-string. With Sandberg Black Label single-coil and split-coil pickups, this electric bass delivers powerful metal sounds that accurately reproduce even the fastest grooves. The active Sandberg Black Label 3-band EQ can be used to adjust the bass sound. High-quality Sandberg hardware in Aged Black completes the Sandberg Forty Eight Victor Brandt Black Hardcore Aged Reserve.

Underneath the detailed Hardcore Aged Reserve finish, which conveys the look and feel of an instrument that has been played hard for decades, the Sandberg Forty Eight Victor Brandt hides a classic design that promises powerful sounds and comfortable playing. The alder body undergoes a thermo-treatment which reduces the residual moisture of the wood and thus supports the attack of the four-string. The sixfold bolt-on maple neck carries an ebony fingerboard, on which, thanks to the speedy finger-friendly "C" neck profile, any metal groove can be played as fast as lightning.

A specially positioned PJ setup on the Sandberg Forty Eight Victor Brandt Black Hardcore Aged Reserve provides the proper sound. They provide a multi-faceted spectrum of first-class metal sounds, ranging from the deep growl of the Sandberg Black Label Split-Coil to the wiry presence of the Sandberg Black Label single-coil. This four-string is further equipped with an active Sandberg Black Label 3-band EQ for precise adjustment of the timbre. The Sandberg Forty Eight Victor Brandt can also be played traditionally passive via a pull of the push/pull switch in the volume knob, with the equalizer's treble control working as a classic tone control.
