In comparison to conventional 9V batteries, by which the voltage quickly falls off and must be disposed of when used, Pedal Juice maintains the voltage over a longer period of time and can be recharged hundreds of times. The Pedal Juice was developed to supply devices with a high power consumption while in the studio or on stage. It can supply a 10mA effect pedal with power for up to 50 hours and a 100mA pedal board for up to 27 hours. With a current of 500mA (typical in large multi-effect, synthesizer or digital recorders) the Pedal Juice delivers roughly 4 hours of constant 9V direct current. A 9V alkaline battery can only supply a device for about 30 minutes.
