The Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 DUAL-E (821–832, 863–865 MHz) impresses with a modern and straightforward design that clearly presents all key functions at a glance. The front panel is intentionally kept simple, making operation quick and intuitive. Channel selection, volume control and the set scan function are combined in a single control element, while a separate button handles synchronization between the devices. The current status, such as battery level and RF reception, can be easily read from the display, which also shows the channel number of the connected devices. The receiver allows switching between eight frequency banks with up to ten channel presets each.
On the rear panel, the unit provides both balanced XLR and unbalanced jack outputs, along with a corresponding switch that allows connection to virtually any mixing console receiving the signal. To optimize reception in more challenging environments, for example when random RF signals are present, the squelch control can also be adjusted on the rear panel.
