The Sennheiser MKH 800 P48 delivers an extremely linear frequency response and extremely stable directional characteristics right into the ultrasonic range. It is suitable for any studio application, as a main or supporting microphone or for room recording. Thanks to the greatly extended frequency range, the presence range is emphasized and transmitted with particular liveliness. The selector switches for pad, treble boost and bass roll-off can be used during recording to compensate for unwanted proximity effect or to emphasize the overtone spectrum of acoustic instruments. The microphone also works with transformerless balancing, so that phase problems in the bass range or distortion are reliably avoided. Another special feature of the Sennheiser MKH 800 P48 is its impressively low noise level.
