Griffin's Claws from Shakmat Modular is a performance-oriented 4-channel attenuator with a recording function. You need one or more attenuators in almost every patch. Many modern modules offer a number of voltage-controllable parameters, but do not have built-in attenuators. This is where Griffin's Claws comes into play. With no less than four attenuators, which can be adjusted with handy sliders, four signals can be precisely levelled. The highlight of this module is the recording function, which offers a recording time of up to 81 seconds per channel. This means that controller movements can be recorded individually for each channel over a number of bars, which can then be smoothly re-inserted cyclically. There are three modes for this: free, clocked or quantised (with automatic clock length detection). To perform with Griffin's Claws in clocked or quantised mode, connect the clock and reset inputs to a sequencer or
