Shakmat Modular Knights Gallop

Shakmat Modular Knights Gallop is a sequencer module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. Based on a dual-trigger generator, Knights Gallop generates an almost infinite number of polyrhythms. The five different modes of the module allow the generated algorithms to be completely manipulated and decomposed. Different rhythm patterns can then be picked up directly via the two outputs.

The five modes:

  • The Main Mode (MN) offers a variety of utility modes for the second output: reset, no shifting, inversion and reverse.
  • The compute mode (CP) calculates corresponding sequences for the second output, which deliver very musical polyrhythms.
  • Random mode (RD) adds randomness to the sequence on the second output. There are four types of randomness that are controlled by the sub-mode.
  • The dual mode (DL) allows the two outputs to be set separately.
  • The Record-Mode (RC) makes it possible to record and record gallop sequences with the Knights buttons.
