KSM8 capsule
KSM8 Dualdyne - the name of the first dynamic microphone capsule equipped with two diaphragms and convincing with neutral and precise sound. Right, two membranes! And these provide for optimal signal pickup, no matter how the artist behaves in front of the microphone. But what is the difference to other microphones?
The proximity effect often plays a role, because the artist cannot always stand rigidly in front of the microphone on stage. But even somewhat more distant signals have their problems to remain permanently assertive, as the performance often does not allow it here either. Thus some singers, who almost like to touch the capsule with their lips, either sound too "musty" or they are too quiet and the voice sounds too thin if they are not optimally centered in front of the microphone.
The KSM8, however, creates a combination of everything: so that you can concentrate on your audience, yourself and the music, the KSM8 with its two diaphragms creates the path over many distances. This not only affects the comprehensibility of the singer, but also his or her well-being on stage. Dump signals are therefore not additionally transmitted via the monitors to the already noisy stage environment. For multitasking artists who have a guitar or other instruments in front of them and sing along, it's also a relief, because every now and then the view automatically wanders down to the strings and you don't keep the distance to the mic exactly as before. So the sweet spot of this microphone is much bigger. Last but not least, it should be mentioned that the basket is made of hardened steel and lined with water-repellent foam from the inside, which means that water, explosive sounds and wind have little chance.

QLXD2 handheld transmitter
No matter if performance or soundcheck, when singing the concentration of the voice is important and not the examination of the technique. And this is exactly the motto the hand-held transmitter was designed according to: Just a push of a button and the hand-held transmitter is synchronized with the QLXD4 receiver thanks to infrared. The backlit LCD provides the most necessary information such as channel, frequency or battery status and does not distract from long, confusing menus. The digital 24-bit/48 kHz audio quality, together with its enormous spectrum efficiency of 20Hz - 20,000Hz, is doubly convincing and gives every performance that certain something. But also the 120 dB dynamic range, the up to 9 hours battery life as well as the 100 meter range impress at full length and leave nothing to be desired. A further bonus is the robust metal housing on which other capsules, such as the legendary SM58 or the Premium KSM 9 can be mounted. With these features, the handheld transmitter can be used flexibly - worldwide.
QLXD2 features:
QLXD4 radio receiver
If you already work with an excellent microphone and transmitter, then you need a suitable receiver without loss of quality. The digital QLXD4 also works with 24-bit audio quality and high spectrum efficiency and is compatible with all digital QLX-D transmitters. Also here, the simplicity is in the foreground, which is why an automatic scan function was set up. This automatically searches for free frequencies and synchronizes them with the transmitters via infrared using a "one-touch" method. The operation in general is done by a few buttons, while all information can be seen on the display. If you want to use multiple receivers or alternatively control the Wireless Workbench 6 software from your PC or Mac, you can connect it via Ethernet.
The aluminium housing with its brushed surface is very durable and suitable for every day touring.
