With the Solid Gold FX If 6 was 9 BC183 MKII Fuzz, the successful effects company from Montreal sends an extremely flexible Fuzz pedal into the race, whose metier is clearly the legendary sounds of the Sixties and Seventies. Based on a fully analogue circuit with two particularly musical BC183 transistors, the pedal offers extensive setting options for the perfect Fuzz sound.

Three basic sound characters

In order to be able to precisely adjust the Fuzz sound, Solid Gold FX equips the If 6 was 9 Fuzz with extensive setting options. The central body switch determines the basic sound character of the pedal, whereby in addition to the Classic setting, a particularly fat and one with emphasized treble are available. While the Fuzz control determines the intensity of the distortion as usual, the Saturate pot allows the fine adjustment of the input gain, and the pedal to optimally adapt to upstream effects.

Extensive control options

In addition, two other setting options of the Solid Gold FX If 6 was 9 BC183 MKII Fuzz directly influence the circuitry of the pedal. In conjunction with the Voltage Pump, the Volts pot determines the voltage at which the pedal operates, allowing you not only to emulate the coveted "Dying Battery" sound, but also to increase headroom. The BIAS knob also allows you to set the operating point of the second transistor.
