Twin speaker cable for home and studio use

The Sommercable SC Twincord with 0.75mm² wire cross-section and 10 m length is a classic twin speaker cable for home and studio use. Cables of this thickness are suitable for short distances, eg. from the power amplifier in the rack to the passive speakers on the console and for peak power up to 100W at the power amplifier output. For longer cable lengths, cables with a cross-section of 1mm² or even 1.5mm² should be selected to minimize cable losses. Higher monitoring volumes, e.g. for a home theater system, or for the main monitors go with a larger current in the line and also require a thicker conductor. As a rule, cables up to 1.5 mm² fit easily into the clamp terminals on loudspeakers and power amplifiers.
