With the LIVEN Lofi-12 Sonicware brings back the noisysound of samplers of the 80s and early 90s into current setups. Due to the low resolution of 16 bit and 12kHz/24kHz with optional 12 bit mode, a sound quality from the time long before the Akai S1000 is achieved. For samples, there are a total of 128 memory locations, 80 of which are occupied by LoFi samples ex works and can of course be exchanged for your own samples. The LIVEN Lofi-12 is able to sample itself, for this purpose each memory location has up to 4 seconds in mono available. The samples selected on the four sequencer tracks can be post-processed with pitch, adjustment of start and end point, reverse playback, sustain loop, filter and LFO modulation for Pitch and filter. But that's not all; one of eleven insert effects (including delay, bitcrusher, flanger, isolator, distortion) can be applied to the samples for each track. For the master effect there are eight different algorithms, consisting of reverb variants, tape and vinyl simulator. The built-in speaker along with alternative battery operation (6x AA batteries) is ideal for those who want to make music location-independent. For connection with other equipment there are MIDI inputs and outputs as well as Analog Sync In & Out to synchronize the Groovebox with Korg Volca or Teenage Pocket Operators.
