The Sonnet Echo 21 Thunderbolt 5 SuperDock extends modern Mac, Windows, Chromebook and iPad Pro systems with a powerful connection centre for professional production, creative and office workflows. Displays, storage media, audio hardware, network connections and other peripherals are connected to the computer via a single Thunderbolt 5 cable. At the same time, the dock supplies compatible notebooks with up to 140 watts of charging power.
With three Thunderbolt 5 ports, the Echo 21 acts as a central connection between the computer and studio setup. One port serves as a host connection to the computer, while two additional Thunderbolt ports are available for additional devices. Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, USB4 v2 and USB-C devices are supported. The two downstream ports each provide up to 15 watts of power for bus-powered peripherals and enable the integration of additional displays, storage systems or audio hardware.

A special feature of the Echo 21 Thunderbolt 5 SuperDock is the integrated M.2 NVMe slot on the underside of the housing. An SSD with a capacity of up to 8 TB can be installed directly in the dock. The PCIe 4.0 x2 connection enables data transfer rates of up to 3300 MB/s and creates additional storage space for sample libraries, multitrack recordings, video projects or backups without having to place another external housing on the desk.
The dock offers extensive monitor options for modern production environments. The integrated HDMI connection supports resolutions of up to 8K at 60 Hz under Windows, while the DisplayPort 2.0 output enables refresh rates of up to 4K at 144 Hz. Additional monitors can also be integrated via the Thunderbolt connections. Depending on the computer and graphics architecture, up to four displays are supported.
The Echo 21 provides a total of nine USB ports with up to 10 Gbit/s each. Four USB-A ports and five USB-C ports enable the connection of audio interfaces, MIDI controllers, external SSDs, cameras, dongles and other accessories. The USB-C ports provide up to 7.5 watts or 15 watts of charging power and support simultaneous charging and data synchronisation. Compatible devices can continue to be charged even when the computer is switched off or disconnected.
With UHS-II SD and microSD card readers, large photo, video and audio projects can be transferred quickly. The dock also has an integrated 10GBASE-T Ethernet connection for working with NAS systems or central production servers. In addition to 10 Gbit/s, 5 Gbit/s, 2.5 Gbit/s and Gigabit Ethernet are also supported. This makes the Echo 21 suitable for data-intensive network environments and large media archives.
In addition to the numerous data connections, the dock also offers practical audio functions for studio and multimedia applications. The features include a headset connection, a separate microphone input and stereo RCA line outputs for active speakers, amplifiers, mixers or audio interfaces. The integrated audio solution supports high-resolution playback with up to 24 bit / 192 kHz and enables direct integration into recording and monitoring setups.
The housing is made of anodised 6063 aluminium and was developed for daily use in the studio, editing suite or office. A Kensington security connection enables theft protection in professional working environments. In addition to the dock, the scope of delivery includes a 0.8 metre Thunderbolt 5 cable, the ThunderLok-A cable security system, a 240 watt power supply unit and the matching power cable.
