The Sonor AQ2 Bop Set WHP White Pearl impresses with its compact size and the warm, focused sound of the maple shells. The small size makes the Set ideal for jazz, fusion and smaller stages without compromising on sound.

The TuneSafe system also ensures robust tuning, even during intensive sessions. Thanks to the option of purchasing individual drums in all AQ2 finishes, the Set versatile can be expanded and customized.
Sonor AQ2: Maple drum shells
All AQ2 drum shells are made of seven layers of maple. Three layers of Canadian maple are wrapped in two layers of Asian maple at the front and back. This results in a very warm and focused tone with a deep basic character. The Bass Drum is 7.2 mm thin and Toms / snare only 5.8 mm, which contributes significantly to the balanced and resonant sound. In addition, the individual layers of wood are cross-glued at a 90° angle, so the shell remains tension-free. The lugs are all fitted with the Sonor TuneSafe system, ensuring tuning reliability and a consistent sound. The exact 45° cup ridge also enables easy tuning and perfect head support and additionally focuses the sound.
The Sonor AQ2 series is available in five different configurations (Stage, Studio, Bop, Safari and Martini). This means that the right drum kit is available for every application and musical style. Whether it's a small club gig, street music, recording studio or large festival - there's the right drum set for everyone.
Four high-quality lacquer finishes and a foil finish are also available. A special feature of the Sonor AQ2 series is that each drum size is also available as a single drum in each Finish, so you can expand and rearrange your own set-up as you wish.
