Resonators and sound plates

In contrast to the Meisterklasse xylophone bars, the metallophone bars produce a much longer tone with a warmer timbre. The resonators of the Meisterklasse bars are made of resophene, a material that is very light and at the same time extremely durable. A special alloy serves as the material for the 6 mm thick sound plates, which are tuned to the fundamental.
