Materials and Construction

When selecting materials, Sonor placed the utmost importance on keeping the weight low Gewicht; nevertheless, the stability and, of course, the sound quality of the Primary chimes are not compromised. The sound plates of the KSP 50 X chimes are made from Pao Rosa, an African wood known for its fine texture and resistance to weathering, which has been used in instrument making for many years. The soundbox of the Primary tuning bars is made from birch plywood.

Under the designation KSP 50 X, Sonor offers a total of 10 large bass bars ranging from C to C1, which are available both individually and as a set. All KSP 50 X bars feature a tuning slider, which allows the sound to be adjusted to suit the room acoustics.
