The Sonor SW1408MS 14" Snare Wires is a set of brass snare wires, featuring 8 snappy snare wires designed for use with a 14" snare drum, and includes a wooden case. SoundWire is SONOR’s answer to any drummer looking for new ways to enhance their snare drum sound. The brass alloy consists of 64.5% copper and 35.5% zinc. The 0.5mm strong snare strands are cold molded thus reaching a maximum tensile strength and hardness (950/1200N/mm*), with reduced elasticity. At a given tension, these snares produce brilliant, crisp snare sounds with defined short attack.
