The Soyuz 1973 large-diaphragm condenser microphone captures the timeless sound quality that has made Soyuz renowned among audio professionals worldwide. It features a center-contact capsule and delivers the detailed, musical tone that defines the Soyuz sonic signature. Like all Soyuz microphones, the 1973 is handcrafted entirely in-house, including every mechanical component, capsule, and toroidal transformer. This meticulous craftsmanship ensures exceptional build quality, robust materials, and the distinctive, high-resolution sound Soyuz microphones are known for. A custom resonator minimizes unwanted resonances and provides built-in pop protection, making the Soyuz 1973 particularly well suited for recording vocals and speech. With a maximum sound pressure level of 140 dB(A) and very low self-noise, it offers clean, accurate performance in both studio and broadcast environments. Thanks to its relatively compact design, the Soyuz 1973 can be positioned easily, even in tight or hard-to-reach spaces. The microphone operates on standard 48V phantom power supplied via an XLR connection.
