The Spector Euro 4 LX EB Poplar Burl Gloss is manufactured in the Czech Republic and offers all the features that made Stuart Spector's and Ned Steinberger's bass designs the spearhead of the noble bass movement. Accordingly, the Neck-Through electric bass is comfortable to play thanks to its gently curved body with a burl poplar top, while an EMG PJ pickup setup and active Spector TonePump 2-band equalizer deliver a wide sound spectrum. High-quality hardware in the form of Spector Locking Bridge, brass saddle and Gotoh 707 mechanics completes the Spector Euro 4 LX.
For the construction of the Spector Euro 4 LX, Spector relies on an elaborate neck-through construction with a curved body, which not only guarantees a powerful sound, but also a high level of playing comfort. Accordingly, the heart of the four-string is the continuous, three-piece maple neck with reinforcing graphite inlays, while corpus wings made of alder and burl poplar complete the design. The ebony fingerboard also contains the typical Spector Crown inlays for marking the layers.
As pickup for the Spector Euro 4 LX EB Poplar Burl Gloss Spector chooses an active PJ setup from EMG. The EMG J single coil pickup placed on the bridge convinces with a transparent sound, whose wiry assertiveness lets any groove cut through the band mix, while the EMG P split coil pickup installed in the middle position delivers an extremely fat bass tone with unbelievable punching power in the low end. In addition to separate volume controls for each pickup, the Spector Euro 4 LX also features the active Spector TonePump 2-band equalizer for precise adjustment of the sound.
Last but not least, the Spector Euro 4 LX Poplar Burl Gloss is completed by high-quality hardware equipment, which underlines the noble bass character with unrestricted functionality and a noble gold-plating. The Spector Locking Bridge sits accordingly on the body, which supports the sound development and sustain of the electric bass thanks to its massive construction and lockable string riders. At the headstock, the strings are also led via a brass saddle to the extremely precise Gotoh 707 bass mechanics.
