With the Spector Euro 4 RST Sundown Glow Matte, Spector sends a forward-looking 4-string bass into the race that combines the agile playing characteristics of the Ned Steinberger-designed NS with smart wood choices and top-notch appointments. While the full-length neck made of roasted maple and the arched and lightweight paulownia body promise comfortable handling, Aguilar Super Double pickups and an active Aguilar OBP-2 preamp deliver multi-faceted all-round tones for almost any genre. The full-length Roasted Maple neck promises first-class playing characteristics up to the high registers, while the Paulownia body promises a stable and comfortable playing position.

Neck-Through Bass with innovative woods

For the construction of the Euro 4 RST Bass, Spector draws on a groundbreaking selection of woods, which, combined with the neck-through construction and 34" scale length (864 mm), promises a lively and sustain-rich sound. The centerpiece of the bass guitar is the full-length, three-piece Roasted Maple neck, which is reinforced by graphite inlays. The body wings made of lightweight paulownia wood, fitted with beautiful curly maple tops, not only contribute to the pleasingly low weight of the Basses, but also support comfortable handling thanks to their convex curvature. Last but not least, the C-profile with 41.6 mm nut width promises agile playing characteristics up to the highest positions of the 24-fret fingerboard made of roasted maple.

Aguilar Super Double Soapbars and an active Aguilar preamp promise top-class all-round sounds for almost any genre.

Pickups and Preamp from Aguilar

The electrical sound conversion of the Spector Euro 4 RST Bass is handled by two Super Double pickups from Aguilar. Using Alnico V magnets and four pole-pieces per string, the soapbar pickups placed in the middle and bridge positions create a powerful sound with well-measured aggressiveness and rich harmonics that responds with sensitive dynamics to every nuance of playing style. Separate volume controls allow the signals from both humbuckers to be freely mixed to achieve the right basic sound for almost any musical style. The active Aguilar OBP-2 preamp also allows fine tuning of the Bass sound in the high and low frequency ranges.
