With one on the Squier Custom Alnico V n Humbucker eck and one on Ceramic Humbucker the Squier Custom bridge, the John 5 Telecaster delivers versatile Rock and assertive Metal sounds. The straight-line circuit with a 3-way toggle switch and separate volume and tone controls allows an optimal tuning of the sound. Last but not least, the Squier J5 Tele has a 6- Saddle Telecaster bridge with string guidance through the body and precise Standard Die-Cast Tuner .
Squier J5 Telecaster Frost GoldWith the virus closing things down it's hard to get to a music shop to try things out and it's always risky buying untried, but because of the gorgeous looks of the guitar I decided to take a chance, pleased I did. When it arrived there were 2 boxes and multiple layers of packing round them. On opening both boxes to reveal the guitar, wow, just wow, I love bling and this is bling with a capital B. On a very close inspection I couldn't find a mark or a fault anywhere on the guitar. and everything was spot on. Put it in tune and the action was great without any alterations, and what a lovely neck. (and I like it low), plugged it into my 40 watt Randall and the pickups are amazing, nearly blew the roof off. This guitar is definitely a keeper and will be passing it on to my grandson, if you are in the market for a Telecaster, it's worth the extra money to buy this..........a fabulous guitar in all departments. Buy it, try it, you will love it.
This is a great guitar which I’ve been really impressed with the finish and especially the neck. Frets are great with no bloom or sharp edges.
Price, delivery and packaging were all first class. No issues.
Straight out of the box the set up was great. No adjustments required. Just needed a quick tune then I was off.
What strikes first out of the box is the looks, of course. Much better in real than in photo - in the sun, it flashes all over the place if that's what you like. I have a few teles from various brands and I bought this one mainly for the looks, without trying first, although intrigued by the double HB configuration. The sound is great on my Ibanez TSA15, it really is a "Tele" in its simplicity and power. Very happy with this purchase. And as usual the Music Store service was flawless even in Covid times. Thanks!!
