4-Stage Phaser

The Strymon Zelzah is composed of two separate Phaser circuits with independent control. On the left side is a 4-stage phaser that offers three different sweep modes Classic, Barber and Envelope. The Classic mode offers traditional Vintage Phaser sounds, while the Barber mode can easily reach the realms of Harmonic Tremolo by interacting with the Mix and Depth controls. Additional influence on the pitch modulation via the incoming instrument signal is possible in Envelope Mode.

6-Stage Phaser

The right-side 6-stage Phaser provides further sound shaping possibilities for a wide range of famous modulation effects. The carefully tuned circuit features additional Resonance modes that re-inject the output signal as Feedback and can create an immense variety of classic modulation effects, from iconic flanger sounds to room-filling chorus effects. Even if the interaction of the Voice, Depth and Speed controls often seems unpredictable, the sonic result always remains musical and invites exciting sound experiments.

Versatile routing options

The two circuits of the Strymon Zelzah can also be combined in many ways, which means that there are no limits to the sonic possibilities of the pedal. Accordingly, the two Phaser circuits can be connected in series, so that the Output of the 6-stage Phaser is fed into the input of the 4-stage Circuit. In parallel mode, both halves receive the dry signal and are summed at the output. For stereo setups, the Split Mode is also available, which outputs the result of both Phaser separately to the two stereo channels.

Connectors for every application

The Strymon Zelzah can be easily integrated into almost any setup thanks to its versatile connection and control options. The sophisticated pedal has inputs and outputs in mono and stereo format and can be easily controlled via an external expression pedal or via MIDI command. Furthermore, a USB-C port is available for control via MIDI USB and for firmware updates.
