The Studiologic SL-88 Studio Controller Keyboard is a complete control solution for aiding in music recording and production through a DAW. The keyboard itself is the TP/100LR Premium Hammer Action, the latest keybed technology from FATAR, giving an incredible piano touch and feel. Each key features the Triple Switch Detection system and Aftertouch to further enhance the playing experience. Studiologic’s SL Editor (downloadable from the Studiologic website) also allows 6 editable user velocity curves, and the three key touch stages are programmable.
The controller has 3 programmable X/Y sticks (Stick 1 is spring loaded, Stick 2 is spring loaded on the X axis and Stick 3 is spring free) and 3 programmable function buttons, alongside a rotating encoder to navigate the options and menus on the LCD-TFT 320x240 colour graphic display.
The downloadable SL Editor works in complete synchronisation with the SL OS installed into the controller, allowing access to a vast number of configurable variables. The SL-88 has 250 Programs, 12 Program groups, 4 Programmable Zones and 2 separately assignable MIDI ports.

I tried a handful of 88 note weighted keyboards in a shop just recently and this is the one that stuck in my mind for the best feel. Some of the controllers I tried were twice the price of this one and I sampled cheaper ones too, but price wasn't an issue, "key-bed feel" was top of the list for me and this one won.
I found the key release a bit spongy/heavy during the first week, but I'd played a Roland for approx 20 years, so change was always going to feel different, but I've adapted to it nicely now and the dynamics whilst playing piano are great. Probably the best budget 88 note weighted controller on the market.
Bought to use in a live rig, chosen due to small size, light weight, but still solid construction.
Keybed is fine, depends what you are uses to. It's quite fast, not too light, a little spongy, but as good as any other general fake piano action. I prefer the Kawai real wood key action, but it weighs a tonne and I decided to get this and save my back.
Great for it's intended purpose.
