TC Electronic G-Major 2

I love the gmajor 2. I use it on the FX LOOP of my Engl Victor Smolski and it really sounds awesome! I bought it because of the harmonizer and I ended up using the other effects more...everything sounds great and my sound has become more rich and tasteful because of the gmajor! The menus are really easy to work with once you realize what controls what and its very well built, I keep it in a rack and so far no problems with the unit! If it were stolen or if it starts malfunctioning I will save for another gmajor for sure!

I use the G Major 2 though the effect loop of my Cicognani Imperivm Luxury H120 and it performs superbly.
Programming can be little hard, but if yo use the software available on TC´s webpage it is quite easy. ( Observe that there is no USB, so you need to have a midi connection to your computer )
If you are looking for an all in one effects unit then this is a very good choise. It is a extremy versatile unit that will get the job done, doesnt matter if you play jazz or death metal

Very nice sounding effects. Very versatile all in one unit. For me it has two major cons:

- When you sending preset change program it change it with some delay in about 1 sec, so for me it makes it impossible to change presets during the song.
- It cant add delay (or any another effect) to your signal it can only mix it with your dry signal in some relationship. For example when I turning on my Boss stompbox Digital delay - it does nothing with my dry sound, just adding delay to it. This unit, makes my sound quiter and wet signal displaces dry signal in some relationship you can control.
I dont know why they did it this way but because of that it makes it useless for me in serial loop.

TC Electronic is known to build very good FX devices and the G Major 2 is no exception.

Effects quality:
The quality is great. You can not expect that you'll get the same quality as from a Axe FX III or a specialised pedal for this use case but based on the price you get really awesome sounding effects.

Usability:
It is pretty straightforward to operate it. There's also a software which makes it easier to create presets but the App looks a little bit outdated. It still works but I'd like to see some improvements here.

Appearance:
It is sturdy and very well built. The brushed aluminium looks gorgeous.

I would definitely recommend it to anybody how's looking for a cheap rack based solution.

I used то TC Electronic G-Major 2, a loop Mesa Boogie Triaxis. Sound amazing !!!!!! All effects are of high quality !!! Works very well !!! Excellent delay !!! Great reverb! No about any problems with programming. Im glad !!!!
