Tama Starclassic drum kit with maple and birch hybrid shells.
The Tama MBS40RS-MSL Starclassic Performer Molten Steel Burst is a professional drum kit from the Starclassic Performer series with hybrid shells and excellent finish. The tom and floor tom shells in hybrid construction are made of 6 ply and 6 mm each (4 ply birch + 2 ply maple). The Bass Drum is made of 7 ply (5 ply birch + 2 ply maple) with a total thickness of 7 mm.
Structure
Combining the two woods, the Starclassic hybrid shells offer clear projection of birch on the one hand, perfectly combined with the deep warmth of maple. All heads are from Evans, and the reliable Star-Cast mounting system for tom suspension is also present. As with all Starclassic series, professional cast hoops have been installed in the Performer series.
