The Tama ML50HMBN2-FBK Superstar HD Shell Set in Flat Black is a limited edition shell set made of maple. The special thing about this limited edition is that both Toms are mounted on the bass drum with the MTH909BN tom holder and the LST1455H Vintage Hammered Steel Snare is also included.

Normally, the Bass Drum is not drilled in the Tama Superstar series. In the Limited edition, the Bass Drum is equipped with the MTH909BN tom holder, which comes from the Starclassic series. Combined with the compact shell sizes of the Fusion configuration, the Tama drums offer perfect handling. The Superstar drums are made of maple, a total of 6 (TT,FT,SD) respectively 8 layers (BD) are glued to a thin shell with a wall thickness of 5 respectively 7 mm. The shell burrs are neatly finished and provide an even skin contact. The shell hardware comes in Black nickel Finish giving them a classy appearance. All Toms have cast tension hoops that provide even tension and give the sound more expressiveness.
Limited Edition Tama Superstar: With S.L.P. Snare LST1455H.
The shell is made of 1.2 mm thick steel. The hammering ensures an uneven surface of the shell, which provides an asymmetrical reflection of the sound waves. This gives the sound of the Vintage Hammered Steel Snare Drum its dry, rich overtone character. The heads are tuned by means of 2.3 mm thick Sound Arc Hoops made of steel. The 10 tube-style heads are made of brass. The satin chrome Finish gives the Tama snare an extraordinary look.

The Tama Superstar Drum Set in Fusion configuration convinces with cast hoops, Black nickel hardware, and Tama Powercraft heads. Maple shells offer a full and powerful sound, while the shortened shells further focus the tone. Just like Tama's Starclassic series, the Superstar toms feature the Star-Cast Mounting System, which gives the drum unobstructed resonance.
