Tama SC Performer B/B PS52HZS-LWO Lacquered White Oyster

The Tama SC Performer B/B PS52HZS-LWO in a great lacquered white oyster finish is a 3-piece shell set, which is aimed at professionals, but also drummers who attach importance to high-quality workmanship and sensational sound. The birch and bubinga shell composition creates a sound that combines the best of both worlds: the strong attack and articulated sound of birch and the extremely warm, massive and deep sound of bubinga.

The Starclassic Performer B/B shell design

The shells are made of 4 layers of birch wood with 3 inner layers of bubinga and thus come to a total thickness of 6 mm (bass drum = 5 + 3; 8 mm). Thanks to the Star-Cast Mounting System, the Tom Toms are mounted in a free-floating manner and can thus unfold their full sound potential. And what the suspension is for the Tom Toms, the feet are for the Floor Tom: these are padded so that the shell can resonate unhindered. Both the Tom Toms and the Floor Tom are fitted with cast zinc hoops. These not only influence the tuning behavior of a drum, but also have a stronger influence on the sound than a flanged steel hoop. The bass drum claws of the Performer Drums have rubber pads that protect the hoop and improve the resonance characteristics of the bass drum. The pads are firmly attached to the claws and cannot rattle or even fall off. The heads come from the G2 series from Evans.
