The Tascam BO-16DX/IN is a professional connection module for 16 balanced audio inputs that serves as a practical connection between devices with D-sub connectors and classic XLR cables. It expands existing audio setups in the studio, at live events or in the broadcast sector and ensures simple, reliable and clean signal routing.
At the heart of the BO-16DX/IN are 16 high-quality XLR inputs that reliably pick up balanced audio signals and pass them on without interference.

On the rear, the BO-16DX/IN offers two 25-pin D-sub connectors, each providing eight channels according to the Tascam AES59-2012 standard. This allows the module to be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructures, for example in combination with digital converters such as the Tascam ML-16D or ML-32D as well as with classic multitrack recorders or mixing consoles.
Thanks to these interfaces, all 16 channels can be connected to one device or two devices with eight channels each can be connected.
The BO-16DX/IN is housed in a robust metal housing with one height unit (1 U) and is perfectly suited for rack installation. The supplied, removable mounting brackets can be mounted at the front or rear as required - allowing the module to be optimally adapted to different installation requirements.
The labeling has also been thought through: it remains clearly legible even when the rack is mounted upside down, making work easier in the hectic production environment. Each channel can also be labeled individually and is easily accessible on the front - ideal for environments where cables need to be changed frequently or new signals fed in.
