The Tascam MP-800U DAB is a reliable and flexible player for public address systems, fixed installations and mobile use. With its compact 19" format and numerous playback options, it offers simple operation and professional features in one device.

Flexible media playback for every application

Whether SD card, USB stick or computer - the MP-800U DAB supports common formats such as WAV, MP3 and AAC and therefore offers maximum flexibility for music playback. The integrated DAB/ FM radio also provides variety and direct access to radio programs. The player can also be connected wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet via the optional Bluetooth extension (AK-BT2).

For even more versatility, a USB DAC is integrated, allowing music to be played directly from a computer or mobile device in the highest quality. This makes the MP-800U DAB suitable for fixed installations in restaurants, hotels or sports centers as well as for use in mobile sound reinforcement environments.

Professional features

The MP-800U DAB impresses with clever functions that make everyday life easier. Power-on Play starts the output automatically when it is switched on, while Auto Cue and Auto Ready ensure that it is ready for use quickly. Incremental Play makes it possible to skip directly to the next track at the touch of a button.

Creative applications are also possible: Pitch Control can be used to adjust the speed and pitch, while the Key Original function maintains the key - ideal for fitness classes or dance events. Fade-in and fade-out also ensure smooth transitions between tracks. Functions such as fader start/stop and tally output make it even more attractive for use in the broadcast and event sector.

Wide range of connection and control options

For integration into professional audio systems, the MP-800U DAB offers balanced XLR outputs as well as unbalanced RCA connections. A separate output for the radio signal allows for flexible signal routing. Furthermore, the volume of each output can be controlled individually. An additional headphone output with its own volume control also enables direct monitoring on the device.

Control is also versatile: in addition to the supplied infrared remote control, the free Tascam Media Control app for iOS and Android is also available. The player can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems via network control using the Telnet protocol - in conjunction with the optional IF-E100 interface card - or in future via the Q-SYS platform (under development).
