Taylor's 300 Blackwood series:

The 300 Blackwood Series comes with a solid mahogany top on a Blackwood body. This Grand Auditorium resonates with warm bass, assertive midrange and fine silvery highs, producing a unique overtone spectrum. The new ES 2 Expression System is offered as a preamp/pickup station wagon as standard. Thanks to the satin finish, the 300s emphasize their playability during fast layer changes and feel excellent overall.

Grand Auditorium body:

The GA design is the link between the Dreadnought and the Grand Concert. Accordingly, it combines the large tonal range of dreadnought in flatpicking and strumming with the advantages of the Grand Concert suitable for fingerpicking. Altogether a true all-rounder with overwhelming sound!

Expression System 2:

The Expression System 2 is an upgrade to the previously used version of the in-house pickup system. In contrast to previous practice, the transducer of the ES2 is not located underneath but behind the bar insert. This was because the high tensile force of the strings limits the vertical vibration of the inlay, but it can swing back and forth. The piezo pickup takes advantage of this movement to produce a warm, full and less biting, bright sound.
